With an aim and mandate to IMPACT the WORLD and IMPACT Youth, Dare 2 Be Different International (www.d2bdifferent.com), a youth ministry founded in 2008 in the Federation of St. Kitts-Nevis has agreed with its team and partners to establish what will be known as "The Positive Project."
President Khrystus Wallace said "Romans 8:28 is powerful and true and we bless God for some recent happenings that allowed us to restructure to come out bigger and better."
Instead of rushing the ministry's 1st Pageant on 31st August, 2012, The Positive Project would seek to get more young people involved and let them advocate against issues affecting youth and society for a set period of time, depending on the issue that they select and depending on their own creativity.
Such issues include but are not limited to: Pollution, Gang Violence, Single Parenting, Adultery, HIV/AIDS, Gun Crimes, Child Abuse etc.
During this time, the young people would get constant assistance and sponsorship to carry out their Project Duties. They would also get extra help with their school work during the period and get a chance at being empowered to start their own business and learning different types of skills. From printing to sewing to agroprocessing - the opportunites are endless.
Along with such a glorious opportunity, youths will get involved in church activites where they can be ministered to and also many funfilled socializing activities with The President and his team.
Those that take it seriously and present the most creative way of impacting society and getting the message across, would be selected to enter our 1st Pageant which we moved to the February 2013. Both male and female Dare 2 Be Different Ambassadors that take home the crown would travel for free to our Victory Camp 2013 in the Summer.
The Positive Project would see many other events being hosted under this banner and also see interesting Spanish / French Events since Brother Dwight Berridge was selected Director of that Division of the Ministry.
Parents interested in letting their youth be apart can contact the ministry via telephone, email or Facebook.
Participant or Participant parents must be Dare 2 Be Different Card Holders: Sign up to be a card holder here: http://www.d2bdifferent.com/cardholder.htm or visit our office
